Martha Vernell Langston went home to be with her savior on Monday, Feb. 8, 2021. Born Dec. 7, 1948, in Hot Springs, Ark., to the late J. C. Langston and Dorothy Evelyn Allison. She graduated Lakeside High School in 1966, and attended Draughn’s School of Business in Little Rock.

Martha taught piano for several years, and was a long time employee in the local banking industry, surviving the merger of First National Bank with Worthen Bank, then Bank of America. She then found that she loved helping people dress their best, working in retail clothing. She loved dancing, whenever she possibly could, and would get her friends out of the house to go with her, even if they weren’t in the mood.

She is survived by her son, Ken Dickerson; sisters, Sherry Landon (Joe) and Melissa Moss (Samantha Hall); many nieces and nephews; special friend, Tracy Broderick; and her special cat, Sunshine. Due to COVID-19, there will be a memorial service announced at a later date.

Arrangements are by Hot Springs Funeral Home.
