The Plexus Groupe Adds Stollenwerck as VP; New Leadership at ANCO Insurance

Commercial insurance brokerage and consulting firm, The Plexus Groupe, has named industry veteran John Stollenwerck to vice president of Business Development. He is based in Dallas.

Stollenwerck has more than 20 years of client service experience across multiple industries and lines of business – including clientele with over $2 billion in real estate holdings and portfolio companies of some of the larger private equity firms in the country.

He joins from The Plexus Group from Ragland Strother & Lafitte, an independent insurance brokerage in Texas, where he was named a partner in 2015. Before entering insurance, Stollenwerck was in technology consulting and sales with Electronic Data Systems, now part of Hewlett-Packard, among other firms.

Stollenwerck will focus on helping The Plexus Groupe continue its rapid growth as a contributor in the firm’s specialty practices. He has extensive experience in the insurance industry, with expertise in complex accounts and serving clients in private equity, the golf and country club industry, technology, real estate, law, and manufacturing.

The Plexus Group is based in Deer Park, Illinois.

Anco Insurance

After 22 years as president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Texas-based Anco Insurance and 47 years in the insurance industry, Kathy Gregory is retiring.

Sid Cauthorn, CEO of the Bank & Trust of Del Rio and president and chairman of the Board of Westex Bancorp Inc., will assume the role of president and CEO of Anco Insurance upon Gregory’s retirement, effective July 1, 2021. Cauthorn also serves as chairman of the board of directors of Anco.

Gregory will remain with Anco Insurance as a member of the board of directors. She joined Anco Insurance in 1984 after gaining a decade of experience in the insurance industry.

Cauthorn has worked in the banking industry since 1987. Cauthorn is also a member of the Board of Directors of First Financial Bank in Bryan, Texas.

A reception honoring Kathy Gregory’s years of service to Anco Insurance will be held on June 22, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m at The Stella Hotel in Bryan, Texas.
