Amryt Pharma PLC inks Canada distribution agreement for Myalepta drug


It completes the multi-regional distribution deal with Medison announced in February

(NASDAQ:AMYT, ) said it has signed an agreement with Medison Pharma Canada, which will distribute the former’s Myalepta drug in the country.

It completes the multi-regional distribution deal with Medison announced in February for two products, the other being Lojuxta/Juxtapid.

Chief executive, Dr Joe Wiley, said: “Today’s announcement represents continued progress as we grow our commercial assets and expand access to treatment for patients in existing and new territories. 

“We are also pleased to extend our engagement with Medison and further benefit from their expertise in Canada and other territories.”

The company is focused on developing and commercialising drugs for rare ailments. Myalepta has been approved for the complications of leptin deficiency, while Lojuxta is a lipid-lowering treatment.
