UK Oil & Gas PLC awaits judgement for Horse Hill project

A judicial review hearing, that took place on November 17 and 18, is now complete and the company is awaiting judgement.

() is now awaiting a judgement following the completion of a judicial review hearing that will decide the future of the Horse Hill project.

The review is focussed on Surrey County Council’s (SCC) September 2019 decision to grant long-term production planning consent for the project, which is 85.635% owned by UKOG.

The review took place between November 17 and November 18, and, the company noted that, as is usual in such cases,  the judge has reserved judgement until such time as he has fully considered all the relevant evidence and arguments.

The judge gave no date or timescale for the issue of the judgement, it added.

“We remain confident that the case put forward by SCC, the company and MHCLG demonstrates the claimant’s case has no merit in law and that the court will uphold SCC’s decision,” said Stephen Sanaderson, UKOG chief executive.
