SBI, HDFC, and ICICI Bank account holders might face problem in receiving OTP,
The banks will remain closed for seven days from March 27 to April 4 and will stay open for only two days, check out the list inside.
New Delhi | Jagran Business Desk: If you are an account holder of HDFC, SBI and ICICI Bank, then you might face problem in receiving OTP in the coming month. On the other hand, for those who are planning to visit the banks in the next week, let us tell you that the banks will remain closed for seven days from March 27 to April 4. In the coming week, there are only two days when the bank will remain open.
Talking about the problem that the account holders of HDFC, ICICI, and SBI Bank, the customers might not receive the OTP. On Friday, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released the names of 40 companies that did not follow their order of the new SMS regulations, and that includes the names of banks — SBI, HDFC, and ICICI Bank. The TRAI released a statement in which they gave a strict order and said that these companies have to follow the orders by April 1, 2021, and if they do not do it, their customers will face the problem in receiving OTP.
TRAI released a statement, that read, “It has been informed that principle entities including major banks like State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, Punjab National Bank, Axis Bank Ltd are not transmitting mandatory parameter like content template IDs, PE (principle entity) IDs, etc. even in those cases where content templates have been registered while sending such messages to TSPs (telecom service providers) for delivery.”

The banks will remain shut on March 27, as it is a fourth Saturday, whereas, March 28 is Sunday, and after that, there will be a national holiday on the occasion of Holi i.e. on March 29. To be noted, the bank services will remain shut on March 30 in Patna.
After this, the banks will also remain shut on March 31 as that is the last day of the financial year. Moving on, banks will also remain closed on April 1 as the process of account closing will take place on that day. There will also be a holiday on April 2 on account of Good Friday. The banks will remain closed on April 4, as it is Sunday.
