Afentra set to seize upon ‘African energy transition’


Afentra’s () chief executive Paul McDade joins Proactive London to introduce his new Africa-focused venture.

McDade, spent almost two decades at Tullow as chief operating officer then as chief executive and is now taking on Afentra, which stands for Africa Energy Transition.

The firm is an upstream operator focused on opportunities in Africa. The Company’s purpose is to support a responsible energy transition in Africa by establishing itself as a credible partner for divesting IOCs and Host Governments.

Afentra has a current carried interest in the Odewayne Block onshore southwestern Somaliland.
