LandBank launches mobile account opening service – The Manila Times
Land Bank of the Philippines (LandBank) clients can now successfully open a savings account with the state-owned lender using their mobile phone at their own safety and convenience without the need to go to a branch.
Launched on Wednesday, LandBank’s Digital On-Boarding System Mobile or DOBS Mobile facilitates online savings account opening in as fast as 10 to 15 minutes without even having to visit any of its branches.
To open a digital LandBank automated teller machine (ATM) savings account, interested clients simply need to fill out application forms online and upload a valid identification card such as a unified multi-purpose identification (ID), passport, Professional Regulation Commission ID, Social Security System, company ID, or even school ID using the bank’s mobile banking app (MBA) available on Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
In support of the national government’s ease of doing business initiative, as well as safety protocols amid the ongoing pandemic, the DOBS Mobile removes the need to queue in branches to open an account, according to the bank.
“The DOBS Mobile underscores LandBank’s continued commitment to provide accessible, convenient and safe digital solutions. Our digital banking initiatives remain centered on balancing service delivery while ensuring the health and safety of our clients which is of utmost priority,” Julio D. Climaco Jr., LandBank executive vice president and branch banking sector head, was quoted as saying.
The DOBS Mobile digital bank account includes features such as cardless withdrawal via the mobile app, as well as funds transfer and bill payment via the MBA and LandBank iAccess, among others.
The lender added that customers can also upgrade their digital bank account to a standard LandBank Visa Debit Card at any time by visiting their local branch and requesting a physical card.
