Ansila Energy NL makes key appointments to UK Southern Gas Basin Phase I project


The company believes making key appointments to the phase 1 project management team is a major step towards the success of the gas project.

’s () (OTCMKTS:PGNYF) wholly-owned subsidiary Hartshead Resources Limited has made key appointments to its UK Southern Gas Basin Phase 1 development project management team.

The company has appointed Jeff Barnes as project developments manager, Stephen Roser as commercial manager and Adam King as contracts and procurement manager.

Phase I of the gas project will be delivered through a concept select and preliminary field development plan (FDP) stage‐gate.

This will incorporate subsurface, drilling & completion, facilities, pipelines, HSE and commercial analysis to evaluate and select the optimal development concept.

An integral part of selecting the development concept will see the company reach commercial agreements with third-party host facility and infrastructure owners for the transportation of gas to onshore processing facilities and sales point.

Jeff Barnes

Jeff Barnes is an industry veteran with more than 40 years, upstream oil & gas experience and has managed a total of 14 UK Southern Gas Basin developments and infrastructure projects within his 31‐year tenure at Limited.

He has a track record of delivering successful UK capital projects and front‐end development of technically diverse concepts whilst achieving project funding, creating and managing integrated project teams and securing and managing contracts.

Barnes’ most recent role was director of new ventures at ODE (Offshore Design Engineering) Limited, a technical services company providing engineering, procurement and project management and operations support to the oil, gas and renewable energy sectors.

He holds a BSc degree in chemical engineering from the University of Colorado and an MBA from Eastern Montana College.

Stephen Roser

Stephen Roser is a proven commercial manager and seasoned negotiator with an extensive track record in the delivery of major projects in the upstream oil & gas sector.

With more than 30 years of industry expertise across the hydrocarbon supply chain, including commercialisation of crude oil and natural gas projects, Roser has extensive experience of working in the UK Southern Gas Basin and wider UKCS during commercial management roles within British Gas, Amerada Hess and Phillips Petroleum.

He holds a BEng degree in fuel and energy engineering from the University of Leeds. 

Adam King

Adam King’s career in contracts and procurement spans 30 years with a focus on international and UK North Sea operations in a variety of roles with Worley Parsons, Snamprogetti, British Gas, BP Exploration, Nexen Petroleum and the UK Southern Gas Basin with .

Adam has acted as a contracts specialist across a wide range of oil & gas projects, from world-class upstream assets including TengizChevroil, Kashagan, Azeri‐Chira/Shah Deniz and Deepwater Angola Block 31 through to UKCS developments such as Buzzard, Golden Eagle and Breagh.

King brings an experienced skillset to Ansila’s UK North Sea operations encompassing pre-and post‐contractual services of tendering, cost advice and contracts planning required during the various stages of conceptual, front‐end engineering and detailed design, fabrication, construction and installation of various oil and gas and process facilities.

He holds a BSc(Hons) degree in quantity surveying from Nottingham Trent University and is a  member of the Royal Institution…
