Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd details 3-play work programme for 2021

“The prospect of multiple positive results is exciting, and we look forward to providing these results as soon as they become available,” said Philip O’Quigley

(LON:FOG, ) has provided details of what’s described as an exciting work programme for the remainder of 2021 at the Beetaloo basin project.

It will see the completion of clean-up operations at the Kyalla 117 well followed by an extended production test.

In January, the company reported encouraging initial gas composition data from Kyalla 117.

The forward programme also includes the drilling of a vertical well into the Velkerri play – the well will have the Velkerri 76 S2-1 moniker – and it will be a pilot and data acquisition well.

A new production test will, meanwhile, reassess the previously drilled Amungee NW 1H well to determine whether all frack stages contributed to the initial test results from 2016.

“This year’s programme covering three different plays in the Beetaloo will provide key information that will help determine the future appraisal and development programme,” said Philip O’Quigley, Falcon chief executive.

“The prospect of multiple positive results is exciting, and we look forward to providing these results as soon as they become available.

“Falcon is fully carried for the 2021 work programme costs.”
