Antipa Minerals Ltd identifies 12 new targets for Wilki farm-in exploration in

Analysis of a SkyTEM aerial electromagnetic (AEM) survey and Pacman ground gravity survey conducted last year identified new targets which will now be included in the exploration program for the remainder of 2021.

() has identified new targets for exploration at the Wilki farm-in Project with Newcrest Mining Ltd () in the Paterson Province in Western Australia off the back of new 2020 drill results.

RC drill testing with 14 holes for 3,737 metres of initial greenfield targets intersected minor zones of anomalous gold-copper-silver and other pathfinder elements, with 12 new geophysical targets identified for testing in 2021.

Newcrest is fully funding a $6 million exploration program over a two-year period that commenced in February 2020 as part of the $60 million farm-in agreement.

Greenfield and brownfield opportunities

The exploration program is centred on greenfield discoveries and brownfield gold-copper resource growth opportunities.

Antipa managing director Roger Mason said: “The Wilki joint venture is targeting large greenfields Havieron and Telfer analogue discoveries.

“Whilst the initial four RC targets tested intersected minor zones of anomalous mineralisation, we are now focused on the multitude of compelling new greenfield geophysical targets along with brownfield resource growth opportunities all very close to Telfer which provide an exciting framework for this year’s Wilki Project exploration program.”

New geophysical targets

An analysis of the SkyTEMTM aerial electromagnetic (AEM) survey conducted last year has identified multiple new conductor targets, with additional magnetic and gravity targets also identified, including:

  • WEM04: 3,950 metres long, mid‐time AEM conductivity anomaly with anomalous copper-arsenic-silver-bismuth-cobalt from limited historic drilling within prospective Upper Malu Formation (host to Telfer deposit) close to Black Hills gold deposit;
  • WEM20: 1,300 metres long, mid to late‐time AEM conductivity anomaly, target not tested by historic drilling;
  • WEM17: 950 metres long, mid‐time AEM conductivity anomaly with no historic drilling and coincident fault and fold structures;
  • WEM23: 1,100 metres long, mid‐time AEM conductivity anomaly with no historic drilling, located within northern continuation of Tim’s Dome adjacent to major north‐south and northeast striking structures;
  • WEM19: 350 metres long, mid to late‐time AEM conductivity anomaly basement and no historic drilling;
  • Chicken Ranch: 1,350 metres long, mid to late‐time AEM conductivity anomaly beneath strong oxide gold mineralisation and copper-arsenic-bismuth anomalism;
  • Pajero: 1,350 metres long, mid‐time AEM conductivity anomaly beneath oxide gold-copper mineralisation from limited historic drilling within prospective Upper Malu Formation on the south eastern region of Camp Dome;
  • Tim’s Dome South (WEM13): 3,800 metres long, mid‐time AEM conductivity anomaly beneath strong oxide gold-copper mineralisation and arsenic-bismuth anomalism within prospective Upper Malu Formation at Tim’s Dome 12 kilometres northwest of Telfer along same domal structure;
  • Tim’s Dome North (WEM12): 900 metres long, mid‐time AEM conductivity anomaly beneath strong oxide gold-copper mineralisation and arsenic-bismuth anomalism straddling prospective contact between Upper Malu and Punta‐Punta Formation at Tim’s Dome 20 kilometres northwest of Telfer along same domal structure; and
  • Tyama: 800 x 500-metre bullseye magnetic high anomaly with anomalous copper-zinc from limited historic drilling.

In addition, analysis of the Pacman ground gravity survey conducted last year has identified two new gravity targets:

  • PM‐GRAV01 – Discrete sub‐circular, moderate to high amplitude positive gravity anomaly about 1-kilometre in diameter, adjacent to a fault dislocation of a linear magnetic high lithology, around 300 metres below the surface; and
  • PM‐GRAV02 – Discrete sub‐circular, moderate…
