Genel Energy PLC says Sarta-3 well has started production
() told investors that the Sarta-3 well has begun production.
It sees the Sarta field, in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, now producing more than 10,000 barrels of oil per day.
Genel, in a brief statement, said it expects production volumes to increase from the two current production wells through the optimisation of the field’s production facilties.

Additionally, the company highlighted that the Sarta-5 and Sarta-6 wells are scheduled for back-to-back drilling as part of the a high-impact appraisal drilling campaign for 2021, which is due to kick off in the second quarter.
Genel owns a 30% working interest in the Sarta field.
