Catenae Innovation PLC lands first commercial order for blockchain-powered

“This sale is testament to the app’s effectiveness in managing workforces and providing safety in controlled environments,” said chief executive Guy Meyer

() has secured the first commercial order for its Onsite ID app with Newcastle Premier Health (NPH) taking up the platform as part of its ‘access control’ programme which allows its business to continue during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The Onsite ID app – which uses blockchain technology to create a digital wallet for health and work-related documents – is being used to store COVID-19 test results as a ‘passport’ allowing users to share their status in a secure, immutable and GDPR compliant manner when meeting clients in person.

In a statement, Mark Philpot, NPH managing director said: “Combined with Catenae’s products, NPH’s clinical solutions provide our clients with the ability to test, track and trace employees. Clients will also have the option to monitor the profile of a work population using dashboarding, making it easy for businesses to dynamically manage the risk profile and cycle of Covid-19 incidences, infection and testing.”

NPH, an occupational health and wellness company, is currently conducting its initial access control programme over the next three weeks, and Catenae noted that it will provide a useful case study for further sales and marketing activities.

Indeed, NPH is presently working with two companies in the finance and manufacturing sectors, in northeast England, to help return their staff to work.

“We are pleased to have secured our first commercial sale for the Onsite ID app which has just undergone a version upgrade,” said Guy Meyer, Catanae chief executive. “This sale is testament to the app’s effectiveness in managing workforces and providing safety in controlled environments, given its multi-purpose functionality.

“Our human-focused technologies are designed to mitigate risks for businesses, their people and their customers and I am pleased to see our latest product performing well in these challenging times.”

Meyer added: “We remain focused on delivering results through building the company’s IP and talent capacity across the business as we further explore international and local sales opportunities, including those with NPH. We look forward to keeping the market updated with our progress.”
