Relief for developers as power corpn extends validity period of NOCs : The

Ludhiana, November 1

In an attempt to provide relief to developers of colonies who had failed to complete the local distribution (LD) system in their colonies within the validity period of ‘no objection certificates’ (NOCs) due to the pandemic, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has announced a general extension in the validity period by one year.

Accordingly, through an office memo (dated October 29, 2020), Punjab State Power Corporation Limited Chief Engineer/Commercial has intimated heads of all distribution zones that all NOCs of colonies whose validity period was expiring between March 23, 2020, and March 31, 2021, would stand automatically extended by one year from the date of expiry of the respective no objection certificates on the same terms and conditions of the original NOC.

It has been further provided that all such cases would be approved by the Superintending Engineers/DS concerned. However, if total connectivity charges and supervision charges have not been deposited within the extended validity period along with erection of the LD system (complete or partial with required bank guarantee), the respective developers would have to apply afresh for the no objection certificate, states the memo.
